Orlando Business Journal recently rated Tharp Plumbing Systems as the #19 largest specialty contractor in Central Florida for 2011 based on 2010 contracting revenue. Contracting specialties such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical, painting, fire-proofing, landscaping, concrete and interiors were represented on the list also.
Tharp Plumbing’s in-house apprenticeship program made the list of only 13 apprenticeship programs of various specialty trades in Central Florida listed on the Orange County Public School form. This form is required to be submitted monthly by all contractors on Orange County school construction projects. Apprentices are required to work on most of these job sites.

Daily safety meetings and safety audits conducted by site crews ensure proper safety measurements and precautions are taken on all jobs.
Four children of Tharp employees received college funds for their outstanding academic achievements for the Fall 2010 semester. Tharp established the college program to reward students in grades 7th and up with college tuition cash if they excelled in their course work. It has been a wonderful tool to help incentivize students to achieve great things!
