James Tharp

James Tharp

The personification of a proactive chairman, Jim oversees the company’s board, with particular focus on his roles as the “clients’ champion” and mentor to the senior management team. A 1973 graduate of the University of Central Florida, Jim quickly ascended the plumber journeyman ranks and seized the opportunity to launch Tharp Plumbing Systems, Inc. in 1976. Capitalizing on his education, experience and sense of gratification in serving the needs of his clients, he has steadily built the business to one of the largest and most reputable commercial plumbing firms in Central Florida.

Jay Jackson

Jay Jackson

Jay has been involved in the construction industry since 1997 and joined Tharp Plumbing in 2001 after graduating from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Building Construction.  He gained first hand knowledge of commercial plumbing through field work and attainment of both his journeyman plumber license and then his state certified plumbing license (2010).  Jay attained his MBA in 2015 from the University of Central Florida, and as President, he continues to advance Tharp’s competitive stance and customer service orientation by applying emerging technology to enhance business operations, as well as estimating and scheduling systems.

Dave Horn

Dave Horn

Dave’s commercial plumbing experience spans over thirty-three years in both field application and management capacities. He holds multiple management and OSHA certificates as well as a state certified plumbing license. His ability to visualize engineering intent through interpretation of the construction drawings and specifications make him an extremely effective Vice President of Tharp’s field operations team. Equally important, he is skilled at all aspects of project execution from feasibility analysis through punch-out and consistently achieves project quality, timeliness and budget goals.

Cinda Parker

Cinda Parker

With over 33 years of accounting experience, Cinda expertly manages Tharp’s financial operations. Earning a BA in Accounting Finance from Southeast Missouri State University in 1981, Cinda is also credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant for the State of Florida. Competencies in finance, human resources, inventory control and acquisitions, all acquired through previous career experiences, make Cinda a key contributing member of Tharp’s executive leadership team.

Chris Joyce

Chris Joyce

As a second generation commercial plumbing professional, he was originally introduced to the trades in 1989 as a member of his father’s plumbing and heating company in England. Chris holds his state certified plumbing license applying his wealth of field knowledge and keen ability to conceptualize and successfully manage all pre-construction planning and estimating activities at Tharp. Now a proud American Citizen, Chris joined Tharp Plumbing in 1997 as a plumber and worked his way up the ladder to foreman, estimator, Chief Estimator and to his current role as Vice President of PreConstruction. His sound appreciation of construction and ability to leverage new technologies are complemented by his harmonizing leadership skills. This unique blend of competencies makes Chris an invaluable contributor to the success of any construction project goal.
