  1. Tharp Rewards Employees

Tharp is steadfast in building trusting relationships with its clients.   A quality product installed efficiently within budget is one way we achieve this goal. Because this goal can only be accomplished through the hard work and talents of its craft employees, Tharp instituted a gain sharing program that incents field associates to keep a keen eye on the productivity of manpower assigned to each project. This program, labeled “Pi” (Purveyor incentive), provides productivity bonuses throughout the year to those who earn them. Since the beginning of 2015, Tharp has seen a dramatic increase in the number of craftsmen earning these bonuses, along with consistently high levels of quality for the on-time or ahead of schedule work provided to our clients.

  2. Tharp Recognized on Golden 100 List

Tharp Plumbing Systems was recently recognized as one of the Orlando Business Journals’ Golden 100 Top Privately Held companies in Central Florida. The listing was dominated by construction companies, and Tharp was one of fourteen “ultimate newcomers” to the list, which is based on gross revenue for the most recent year-end.

Tharp Plumbing congratulates its’ clients Finfrock Industries, Inc.; HGR Construction, Inc.; H.J. High Construction; J. Raymond Construction, Inc.; McCree General Contractors & Architects; R.A. Rogers Construction Co., LLC; Rosen Hotels & Resorts; Unicorp National Developments, Inc.; Walker & Co., Inc.; Wharton-Smith, Inc.; & Williams Company Southeast, who were also named to the list.

All members of the Tharp team are grateful to the many general contractors who have entrusted us with their commercial plumbing project work and facilitated our steady growth.

  3. Tharp Plumbing Generosity Continues

Dedicated to achieving all elements of its Mission Statement, including the prosperity of its employees, Tharp’s ownership once again gave a very generous 55% employer match on 100% of every employee contribution made to the 401K and Roth investment program for the most recent plan year. For example, for every $1,000 an employee contributed, Tharp contributed $550 into their 401K account. In fact, Tharp has made a match fourteen of the last nineteen years. Necessarily fluctuating based on the economy, the matches have been as high as 100% of all employee contributions! For this upcoming plan year, Tharp has promised a minimum 20% employer match on all employee contributions. This is just another example of how the company’s leadership reciprocates its employees’ delivery of fine plumbing to their highly valued clients.

  4. Tharp Plumbing Nurtures Employees’ Professional Growth

Another component of Tharp’s Mission Statement promotes its employees professional growth. Over the past year, several employees have taken steps to progress and grow through new certifications and more responsible positions. Jose Elliszander and Jeffrey Watkins recently completed the PIPE four year apprenticeship program. The majority of field employees are journeyman licensed plumbers, and Stephany Driver, Carlos Elliszander, Chris Eshliman, Chris Meeks, Duane Ollett, & Jake Tobin recently obtained their licenses! Several plumbers have also been promoted to Foreman, including Duane Ollett, Anthony Shields, and Derrick Wilson with several more potential candidates steadily climbing towards that goal.

Equally impressive, we are proud to witness two recent well-earned promotions: Chris Meeks will succeed Hans Glatz as Warehouse Assistant and Rodney Marks will transition from his Foreman role to become an Estimator in the Pre-Construction Department. Congratulations to both!

  5. Correct Craft

Tharp Plumbing is happy to announce that many years after building the facility originally, we are back with Kelsey Construction to add a new addition to the Correct Craft facility.
