  1. Employees Receive Bonuses for Job Safety

    Throughout its 33 year history, Tharp has been rewarding employees who remain safe and accident-free during the year with cash bonuses.  This year those employees will be recognized and rewarded at the annual Tharp Christmas party.  Eleven Tharp employees have made safety a huge priority during their careers with absolutely NO accidents in more than ten straight years. Tharp appreciates the contributions its employees make every day to the entire work site by putting safety first on all of their jobs.

  2. Timeshare Remodel with Boyer Building Corporation

    Congratulations to Tharp Plumbing for being recently awarded the commercial plumbing on the Marriott Cypress Harbour renovation of 87 timeshare units.  Tharp is proud of Boyer Building Corporation’s vote of confidence on this first of hopefullly many jobs working together.

  3. Tharp Employees Teach at the University of Florida School of Building Construction

    Jim Tharp, Tony Chaves, and Duane Ollett represented Tharp Plumbing at the University of Florida M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction. They received plaques from the professor and were also featured in a recent issue of “Orange and Blueprints”, the school’s magazine. Tharp Plumbing has been given the privilege to teach once a semester at the school to enlighten the students about the plumbing field and to raise their awareness of the various specialty components of the construction industry!

  4. Two LEED® Certified Projects Reach Completion

    Tharp Plumbing is proud of its work on two “green” projects which are nearing completion- the 450,000 square foot, gold LEED® certified Darden Restaurant Corporate Headquarters in Orlando and the downtown Orlando Fire Station # 1, which is seeking silver LEED® certification.  At both of these project sites, Tharp installed low water consumption fixtures. At  Fire Station #1 a  water cistern system that uses reclaimed storm water to flush the water closets and urinals was installed, while at Darden a reclaimed water main supplies all water closets and urinals. This work is in keeping with the sustainable building practices of the US Green Building Council.

  5. Silver Level STEP Award for Safety

    Tharp Plumbing Systems is proud that it has had an exceptionally safe year and has been awarded a 2009 silver level STEP award, which is a safety performance recognition award, from the Associated Builders and Contractors. Tharp ‘s continual involvement with the STEP program helps them measure their safety program’s progress from year to year and also enables Tharp to build upon their long-term safety performance and training efforts. Tharp is proud of their employees for continuing to make safety a priority while doing their work efficiently.
