    We are excited to announce the promotion of Matt Thrush to BIM Manager. Matt brings a unique blend of technical knowledge and business acumen to the role, having earned a UF degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. With +8 years of work experience in the Construction and AED industry, Matt has proven his ability to collaborate effectively and bring intelligence and expertise to our company.

    We would also like to acknowledge and thank Perry Harter for his contributions towards building our exceptional BIM department. Perry’s hard work and dedication has laid the foundation for continued success, and we are grateful for his continued support as he transitions into an advising role until retirement.

    Please join us in congratulating Matt Thrush on this well-deserved promotion and wishing him all the best in his new role.  We are confident he will lead our BIM department to new heights both in our company and in the plumbing industry.

    We are pleased to announce that Chris Joyce has been promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction.

    Chris has been a valuable member of our team for 26 years beginning as a helper, and has excelled at the company moving into roles such as plumber, foremen, estimator, Chief Estimator and Director of Preconstruction, while acquiring both his journeyman and state masters plumbing license.  Chris joined the Tharp ownership team three years ago, and currently serves at PCEA (Professional Construction Estimators Association) as President in his second term. We are excited to see the contributions he will make in his new Tharp Plumbing role as well as the greater construction community. Please join us in congratulating Chris Joyce on this well-deserved recognition of his hard work and dedication.

    Congratulations to our founder Jim Tharp!  He was recently inducted into the Mid Florida Business Hall of Fame and honored with Junior Achievement’s 2021 “Spirit of Achievement” award for his exemplary business leadership and selfless philanthropic initiatives.  The awards banquet is taking place at Full Sail University Thursday evening 11/4/2021.  We are so proud, thrilled and appreciative that Jim is receiving this well deserved recognition.

    Orlando, FL –July 1st, 2019 – As part of its continued growth and planned succession, Tharp Plumbing Systems Inc. is pleased to announce that Chris Joyce and Michael Williamson have been added to Tharp’s ownership group.

    The ownership group, headed by Jim Tharp, and including James Jackson and Dave Horn, will ensure a strong continued succession plan, focused on leadership heading into Tharp Plumbing’s future.

    In May 2016 Jim Tharp created the “Above & Beyond” scholarship fund to assist Oak Ridge students overcome their current challenging circumstances.  Since then (16) students have begun earning the $3k/year scholarships (4 year duration) with the plan to grow the program by up to 10 students every year.  Jim invites anyone interested in investing in future Oak Ridge graduates to please contact Debi Pedraza, Senior Director of the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools at (407317-3261) to discuss gift options.  All gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
